Certificate II in Outdoor Leadership Sea Kayaking

DESCRIPTION

This course is designed for people working or wanting to work in the Outdoor Industry, specifically to gain work in the outdoor recreation tourism industry. This qualification reflects the role of individuals who assist with operational logistics and the delivery of recreational activities. They work under supervision and with guidance from those responsible for planning, finalising and delivering activities, including program managers and leaders.

LENGTH OF COURSE

The course is delivered with a theory component and 5 days of practical training. The theory will need to be completed prior to attending the practical component.

COURSE DATES

There is a theoretical component that will be required prior to practical.

TRAINING LOCATION

Region X - 6 Russell St, Batemans Bay NSW.

You will be responsible for your own accommodation and transport logistics

ELIGIBILITY/ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

This Course is designed for those working in outdoor recreation/tourism industry and you must meet one of the following criteria:

- previous Flat Water Canoeing qualification

- previous Flat Water Kayaking qualification

- equivalent experience in Canoeing or Kayaking

To maximise the chance of gaining the competency units in this course, it is strongly recommended that prospective students are comfortable in flat water environments, be able to swim 50m, have the physical capability to lift & carry kayaks and paddle for multiple hours.

Entry into this qualification will be based on our professional judgement in consultation with the individual. 5 Star Training reserves the right only to allow enrollment to this course if students are that the required standard.
