What You'll Learn

This comprehensive course equips you with the essential skills to confidently lead climbing activities on natural rock formations. You'll master the techniques needed to select and establish appropriate belay systems and rope setups suitable for single pitch recreational climbs on cliff faces and other natural surfaces—all adapted to current environmental conditions.

The course covers four specialised units:

  • SISOCLM002 - Top rope climb single pitches, natural surfaces
  • SISOCLM003 - Lead climb single pitches, natural surfaces
  • SISOCLM006 - Establish belays for single pitch climbing on natural surfaces
  • SISORSC002 - Perform vertical rescues
