We have another Guide Mountain Bike Course and the enrolment fee is FREE!
This course is designed to give you the required skills and ability to guide off road cycle tours.
Location: Day 1 will be held at 3/18 Abel St, Jamisontown 2750 (8.30am start). Remainder of course at various sites across Blue Mountains National Park.
Enrolment Fee: This course is part of the NSW Smart & Skilled Targeted Priorities program and is fee free!
Additional costs: You will required to provide your own Mountain Bike, helmet, related clothing and food for this course.
Recommended Prior Experience: You will need the fitness to undertake rides of up to 25KM in one day. To maximise the chance of gaining the competency units in this course, it is strongly recommended that prospective students the ability to ride a mountain bike on single trails.
Day 1: Saturday 24 April - Bicycle Servicing
Day 2: Sunday 25 April - Guide mountain biking sessions 1 & 2
Day 3: Saturday 8 May - Guide mountain biking sessions 3 & 4
Day 4: Sunday 9 May - Guide mountain biking sessions 5 & 6

AURBTV001 Remove, refit and adjust bicycle accessories
AURBTJ001 Remove, repair and refit bicycle tyre's
SISOCYT008 Lead off road cycling activities on easy trails
SISOCYT002 Ride bicycles on roads and pathways, easy conditions
SISOCYT001 Set up, maintain and repair bicycles
SISOCYT004 Ride off road bicycles on easy trails
How will you be assessed?
Practical demonstration of:
- servicing of bicycles
- riding skills
- Completing Theory assignment
- Preparation of Planning document
